Emily Henderson + Filling Spaces
We're big fans of Emily Henderson over here and are so excited that she's featured our pillows in two of her recent projects. We'll walk you through them below.
Velux Skylights Bedroom Makeover
Emily was approached by Velux skylights to do a makeover for a family that could use some "brightening up." She said yes, and that family ended up being Kristen & Reann. The couple has been together for 7 years and last year Kristen was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. They wanted a bright, serene space to bring them peace and comfort in tougher times. To read more about their story head over to Emily's blog.
As part of Kristen & Reann's bedding Emily chose our Kameko Bloom lumbar pillow. To achieve that feeling of calm Kristen & Reann were after Emily and her design team stuck to a palette of grays, white and navys mixed with natural textures and materials. The couple didn't want too much pattern, but they still wanted the room to feel comfortable and layered, which is why Kameko Bloom is a great fit. Kameko is a soft and subtle pattern and the pillow's indigo base is the perfect compliment to the other pops of navy in the room.
We're so happy to have been part of this project in a small way. To read more about all the products featured in the makeover and to snag a few more design tips on creating a serene space head here.
Emily Henderson's Mountain House Guest Bedroom
For the guest bedroom in her mountain house Emily used our Aspen Ash Lumbar. Her goal with this space was to make a comfortable, livable, calm and cozy space for her guests. For bedding, she stuck with a palette inspired by nature and loaded up on the layers.
The warm gray of Aspen Ash pairs perfectly with the earthly greens Emily chose for the rest of the bedding and the bed frame. Aspen is one of our favorite prints for the bedroom too, it's such a simple print but has just enough texture to add a bit of interest to any space.
If you love Emily's style just as much as we do head to her blog to read the full post on the mountain house guest bedroom and take a peak at all the other rooms in the house as well.
